The second programme of a five-recital series at Wigmore Hall spread over the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 seasons.  Beginning with J S Bach's Goldberg Variations, and concluding with Beethoven's Diabelli Variations in the Spring of 2027, the series will traverse a broad range of mainstream and contemporary repertoire inspired by variations on a theme.

This programme features Fauré's C sharp minor Variations Op 73, inspired by and modelled upon Schumann's Études Symphoniques.  Shorter sets of variations by Lili Boulanger and Handel complement Fauré's singular approach to piano composition.
