This concert explores works by composers who fled for their lives from the Nazis to the USA. All works programmed were written during the composers' years in diaspora, reflecting upon their attempt at assimilation, their yearning for a lost homeland and, sometimes, protest.

Concert will be preceded by a talk given by talk by Dr Michael Haas, Senior Researcher at Exil Arte Zentrum in Vienna, Austria.
