BBC Proms 2014

Following his Proms début with the BBC Concert Orchestra and conductor Andrew Litton in 2011, Danny Driver returns to the Proms this season with a performance of William Walton's Sinfonia Concertante, together with the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra and conductor Charles Dutoit.

Driver has been a champion of British music in concert and on record for some years, bringing to light forgotten works by York Bowen, Benjamin Dale, Howard Ferguson, and most recently Erik Chisholm, whose 'Hindustani' Piano Concerto he performed with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor James MacMillan earlier this year.  Please see the 'Recordings' page on this site for more information.
