Program

Aldeburgh Young Musicians will focus on high standards in the interpretation and performance of classical music. Following models such as the Salzburg Mozarteum Summer Academy or IMS Prussia Cove, the week will include masterclasses and sessions on solo performance. The musicians are asked to bring a minimum of three solo pieces which they will have prepared in advance. The week will include intensive practise, in addition to attending and performing for classes. There will also be opportunities for chamber music, group rehearsals and discussions, together with a film night. In addition to visiting specialist tutors, the course will be led by Oliver Coates, winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist Award 2011 and Danny Driver, BBC Proms soloist and Hyperion recording artist.
